Rusty welcomes Lucas Silveira
Rusty is stoked to welcome Lucas Silveira to the team. The 20-year-old, who hails from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, is the current World Junior Champion, and a strong contender to join the World’s Top WCT 32 surfers in the immediate future.
He has experienced competition at an elite level, having received a wildcard entry into the 2016 World Tour event in Rio. Lucas is currently competing on the WQS, and is looking forward to the Hawaiian leg of the tour, where he can flex his formidably mixed bag of talents.
Lucas is a ray of sunlight amid the Brazilian Storm, bringing a complete package of prodigious rail and aerial surfing to the world. His main goal is to be a contender on the WCT, but just as important to him is showcasing his talent to the surfing world through online content.
“Rusty is a brand I have always wanted to be associated with,” says Lucas. "They're an iconic brand, especially with Rusty Preisendorfer still in the shaping bay, as well as their elite and diverse team. I am honoured to be part of the brand and help showcase my talent via Rusty on a global scale.”
