The contest has ended... Congrats to Rusty team riders Willian Cardoso for making it to the quarter finals, and Josh Kerr for making it through to round 5!
The Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach has been cranking through this past week and weekend with some amazing surfing going down at the legendary Australian break. Rusty team riders Josh Kerr and Willian Cardoso have both been standouts in the event pushing their way through the heats to rack up the points.
Unfortunately Kerrzy went down yesterday in round 5 against Santa Cruz's Nat Young, even though Josh had put on an amazing show, it came down to the last 15 secs of the heat.
Congrats to Rusty team rider Willian Cardoso for taking the win in his round 4 heat and advancing to the quarter finals! Look for him to blow up and continue his momentum when he goes toe to toe with Nat Young to try and get through to the semis.
Rusty team rider Josh Kerr has been on a terror in the contests down under, taking 2nd place this past weekend at the Margaret River Drug Aware Pro in Australia! Kerrzy was able to blaze through heats to make it to his second final in three weeks!
Kerrzy was up against Hawaiian charger Dusty Pane in the finals, and despite an incredible display of surfing power, Kerrzy was inched out of the first place spot taking home the 2nd place win. Kerrzy now gets to add to his collection of growing Margaret River Pro trophies (he won in 2010 as well) and prep for the next stop.
Be sure to check back for the latest Rusty team rider news and info!
Congrats to Rusty team rider Kevin Shulz for his 2nd place finish this weekend in Huntington Beach Ca. at the Surfing America Prime contest! Kevin put in work and pushed through his heats to make the finals and show he has the skills.
Look for Kevin to keep blowing up and posting results next month at the Surfing America USA Championships at Lowers in San Clemente Ca!
Check out the feature on Transworld Surf with Rusty team rider Josh Kerr showing and explaining the step by step moves to stomping Alley Oops. Kerrzy is an air master and there are few professional surfers who can pull these off as smooth and gracefully as he does. Check out the photos on transworldsurf.com, then get in the water and keep hucking until you get it!
Check out the full frame feature from Stab Magazine of Rusty team rider Josh Kerr spinning a alley oop in Western Australia. Kerrzy has been out and about in Australia for about a month now and since the contest ended he has been frothing and surfing 3-4 times a day! Look for plenty more photos to be filtering through on stabmag, com and follow Kerrzy on instagram @josh_kerr84

This post weekend Transworld Surf Magazine and SurfRide Board shop put on Camp Shred, the world's largest surf demo at the San Elijo campgrounds in Cardiff Ca. The event went off with tons of people and families joining in to test out the latest in surfboards, wetsuits, fins, skateboards and more!
The event helps bring people to the California state park and help spread awareness and raise funds for the CA state park program. Rusty was on hand to stoke out the crowds of surfers wanting to try the latest shapes and designs. We spent the weekend hooking up our test pilots with custom made hats, stickers, and posters. A little sun burnt but it was awesome to see how many people made it out to support and test out all the surf gear.
Congrats to Rusty team riders Mikey Ciaramella and Jack Brandon for blowing up at the NSSA contests on both coasts!
Mikey Ciaramella pushed his way through to make the final and take the win at the NSSA College Men's state Championships this weekend in HB, taking down a list of talented surfers to take home the trophy! This is one of the biggest wins of Mikey's surfing career and we're stoked everyone got to see what Mikey can put together during a heat.

Jack Brandon also flared up in the water over the weekend taking a 1st place, and 3rd place win in his respective divisions at the NSSA contest in Florida. Jack spent the day battling weak surf and the blazing sun to take home the win. He was able to link enough together to get the points and make it through, look for him to keep the results showing up into the Easterns coming up in 2 weeks!
The Quick pro kicked off yesterday afternoon at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast in Australia. Rusty team rider Josh Kerr will be competing in the event against the top surfers in the world as they kick off the 2013 WCT season. Kerrzy's local knowledge and wave selection will be key during the comp to push through the heats, and post the scores to get the points.
