The Misfit is a performance/comp board designed to be ridden a little bit shorter that works well in any conditions knee to head high.
The design has a little more area overall relative to the Redline, R1, or Bender with an emphasis on a slightly fuller front end and a wider tail block. The wider squash tail maintains extra area aft and the outline is a little straighter through the fin area, adding drive through turns.
The rocker features a relaxed entry with a fair bit of exit curve that is evenly distributed in the back half.
Bottom is a light single concave.
With the fuller outline and extra area, the board generates plenty of lift. Because of the extra back half centerline curve, there is already plenty of arc in the rail to compliment the drivier outline
A deck that is a little more domed than average and adds some extra volume while allowing the rail line to have a lean, even flow, nose to tail.
All these elements work together to make a board with a bit of skate, launch, and still carves.

The ISA World Juniors Surfing Championship has been under way this past week in Nicaragua and Rusty team rider Kevin Schulz has been slugging it out and posting up scores against some of the top junior surfers on the planet. Schulz is a part of the USA surf team and was added to the world junior championship contest at Jiquiliste Beach in Nicaragua last month.
Kevin hails from San Clemente Ca where he would be graduating this week with his class, but elected to follow his dreams and join the US surf team for the contest to try and help secure a victory with the rest of the team. Kevin made it through the first 2 rounds of qualifying heats before getting edged out in round 3. He pushed through his rep heat taking first place with a 12.67, and is up in heat #3 the rep 5 heat against fellow American Parker Coffin, Elliot Ivarra from France, and Hiroto Arai from Japan.

Kerrzy is always a standout and one of the most exciting surfers on the tour to watch at this contest, and you better be sure he'll be putting on a show and getting as deep as he can. He is up against a slew of seasoned pro's who have spent just as much time as Kerr has charging this magical surf spot in fiji, but look for him to put up a good fight to post scores and push through heats!
Visit TWSurf.com today and cast your vote for Josh Kerr in Chippa Wilson's Flight to the Flats contest. Kerrzy is going head to head with Mitch Coleborn, launching what is being called the biggest air of the contest so far in his clip.
You have to watch the video to truly appreciate Kerrzy's massive launch, and how he keeps the composure sliding down the foam to stick it and pull it off.
The latest Full Frame feature on Stabmag.com is of Rusty team rider Noa Deane launching a wicked rotation at D-Bah, going for glory and not holding anything back.
