The List received a slew of exposure thanks to the likes of NBC, SignOnSandiego, the Union Tribune, Clear Channel and San Diego Magazine. A nomination period was held for three weeks where anyone could nominate a company they felt was worthy of being on The List. In the end, over 400 companies were nominated. The List Committee then went to town dwindling the List down to the final 100.
